Pink Zebra Necklaces

You've probably heard the saying,

"When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras."

But these days, sometimes those hoofbeats really are zebras.

My friend, Pat Moses-Caudel, and a number of other people, are really zebras.

They have carcinoid, a form of cancer, and are frequently misdiagnosed and diagnosed too late.

They decided to call themselves Pink Zebras and hold a silent auction in September 2009.

Here are my contributions:

Love

(Not Conquest)

This is a netted necklace with sterling toggle clasp and polyclay/CZ cab by Cat.

Peace

(Not War)

This is a plain self-supporting spiral necklace with sterling lobster-claw clasp.

Plenty

(Not Famine)

This is a semi-RAW necklace with Swarovski crystals, rivolis, and a black glass clasp in front (the rivolis are closer in color to the seeds than in the picture).

Life

(Not Death)

This is one of my spiral necklaces with seeds, fringe beads, Swarovski crystals, a sterling lobster clasp, and a freeform lampwork focal  by Evalynne.
